Submission Guidelines - open until December 31, 2026
At this time, we are open for submissions in the following areas:
IngramElliott Imprint: full-length fiction manuscripts (55k-90k words)
IE Snaps! Imprint: novella length fiction manuscripts (25k-55k words)
Genres for both IE and IE Snaps:
Thank you for considering IngramElliott as your publisher. We understand the sacrifice and commitment you have made to bring your work to us. IngramElliott devotes itself to innovating and uncovering great authors with great books. We are selective in the authors we choose as they must reflect our unique brand. We closely evaluate each submission we receive for adherence to our standards and guidelines as well as marketability and audience. In fiction, we are looking for uniqueness of story, innovative plot lines and compelling characters that translate well into film and television projects. If selected, you will work with IE to create film and tv materials related to your title.
Important note: Social media is a key factor in marketing your book. We look for authors with strong, active social media platforms. You will be asked to provide website information and/or social media profile links.
Please use the online form on our website for all manuscript submissions. We cannot accept unsolicited manuscripts by snail mail, email, or phone/voicemail.
Submission guidelines for all genres
1. Fill out the submission form. Select the Imprint and genre and fill in all required information.
2. Include only the first 10 pages of your manuscript pasted into the body of the submission form. Any full-length manuscripts will be deleted immediately.
3. Once a submission is received, it is reviewed by our editors. Occasionally, you may be contacted by email or phone for follow up questions or other clarifications. Typically, you will receive a response within 8-10 weeks of your submission. If we are interested in further reviewing your work, we will email you a request for the full manuscript.
Note: we may also ask for a chapter outline, treatment/summary, book blurb, or other material as part of your full submission.
Specifications for full manuscripts
If we ask you to submit a full manuscript, you will be sent a standard literary release form which you will need to sign before we can receive your full manuscript.
You may submit your manuscript in Adobe PDF format for evaluation purposes. Note: if we move forward with your manuscript we will ask for MS Word format.
1. Double-spaced lines
2. Times New Roman 12-point font size
3. 1- inch margin top, bottom, left, and right
4. Include page numbers and your last name on each page in footer
5. Include a page break between chapters as well as chapter headings
6. PDF format - most word processing applications will allow you to save your file as an Adobe PDF or you can convert your document online by visiting adobe.com.
7. Include a book blurb/synopsis, chapter outline, and character summary on a separate page of your manuscript.
Note: We do not accept printed submissions via snail mail. Any manuscripts sent to us will be destroyed immediately. Please use the online form for all submissions.
