About the authors

Charlotte Calvert Piel’s experience as a University of North Carolina (UNC) librarian and her studies in Mexico inspired this vibrant children’s book. Her co-author and sister, P.E. Calvert, is a writer, producer, and publisher who is passionate about connecting cultures through reading and film.
