About the story

​In this mystical suspense and family drama set in the dark voodoo culture of New Orleans, June Mae, a white-light voodoo priestess, faces off against her childhood nemesis, Mister—a well-connected criminal who practices the dark side of voodoo—for control of the area’s magical cemetery dust. As if she doesn’t have enough to contend with, her straightlaced, preacher’s wife sister, April, arrives unexpectedly to reconcile past family traumas and reconnect but gets caught up in the supernaturally infused mayhem.

The battle of good versus evil weaves a murky path through the corrupt back alleys of New Orleans to the boggy swamps and beyond to reveal if good does overcome evil, faith triumphs over doubt, righteousness reigns supreme over the sinister powers of darkness, and can the power of family be the secret weapon to victory.
